Toyota Supra Turbo (A80) · 1993–2002 (US 1993–1998)

The A80 Supra Turbo pairs the cast-iron 2JZ-GTE sequential-twin-turbo inline-six with a Getrag V160 6-speed, an over-engineered bottom end famously good for four-figure power on stock internals. It's the definitive Japanese GT of the 1990s, and the US 6-speed twin-turbo — factory-rated at 320 hp — is the configuration that turned it into a blue-chip collectible.

The one to have: US-market Turbo Sport Roof: sequential twin-turbo 2JZ-GTE (320 hp / 315 lb-ft) with the Getrag V160 6-speed, targa roof, unmodified and low-mileage on factory silver alloys. The JDM RZ is the right-hand-drive, km-odometer equivalent.

Know the real one

Export 2JZ-GTE runs sequential twin-turbos on steel turbine wheels for 320 hp / 315 lb-ft; JDM-spec cars were rated 276 PS and used failure-prone ceramic turbine wheels.
US took roughly 11,300 Mk4 Supras for 1993-98; turbo cars were the minority, and 1996 US turbos were automatic-only for OBD-II certification - there is no 1996 US 6-speed turbo.
Many 'twin turbo' listings are naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE cars (220 hp) or single-turbo swaps wearing turbo badges; confirm factory sequential twins and a turbo VIN (JT2DE82, 1996-98; JT2JA82J, 1993-95).
The gearbox that matters is the Getrag V160 6-speed; equal-condition 4-speed automatics trade well below manuals, and JDM RHD imports read km, so mileage claims are conversions.
