The 22B is the wide-body two-door coupe Subaru built to mark its 40th anniversary and three consecutive WRC constructors' titles, powered by a purpose-built 2.2-litre EJ22G boxer — bored out from the standard 2.0 — driving all four wheels through a 5-speed manual. Only 400 were built for the Japanese market, reportedly selling out within 48 hours, making it the flagship model of the GC8 Impreza generation.
