The Spirit R Type A is the final, most focused FD RX-7 — a 1.3-litre 13B-REW sequential twin-turbo rotary in the last twin-turbo rotary sports car Mazda ever built. Type A is the stripped two-seat, 5-speed variant with red Recaro buckets and cross-drilled brakes, and 1,044 were made out of the 1,504-car final 2002 Spirit R run, which is why collectors treat it as the definitive FD.
