Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster · 2007–2009
The SLR McLaren is a front-mid-engined grand tourer built on a carbon-fibre monocoque and assembled by McLaren in Woking, powered by a hand-built 5.4-litre AMG supercharged V8 driving through a 5-speed automatic. It's the only road car from the Mercedes–McLaren F1-era partnership, and that split personality — F1 pedigree, Gullwing styling cues, and a supercharged front-engine layout no rival used — is what fixes it as a landmark collectible.
