Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33) V-Spec · 1995–1998
The R33 GT-R sharpened Nissan's Godzilla formula into the first production car Nissan claimed under eight minutes around the Nürburgring, still running the 2.6-litre RB26DETT twin-turbo straight-six with ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive and Super-HICAS four-wheel steering. The V-Spec is the driver's pick, adding the ATTESA E-TS Pro active limited-slip system, a firmer sport suspension and 17-inch wheels over the standard GT-R.
The one to have: V-Spec (BCNR33): the sport-suspension GT-R with ATTESA E-TS Pro active AWD and active rear LSD, Super-HICAS, firmer damping and 17-inch wheels over the base car, still capped at the industry-agreement 280 PS. Early clean-title import cars and low-mileage examples lead.

Know the real one
BCNR33 chassis code. The V-Spec adds ATTESA E-TS Pro (active rear limited-slip that meters torque through the brakes), firmer sport suspension and 17-inch wheels over the base GT-R; badge, ride height and wheels are the tells.
The 276 hp (280 PS) figure is the Japanese industry cap; a healthy RB26 makes well over 300 hp at the flywheel.
Nissan claimed the R33 GT-R as the first production car under eight minutes on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (a 7:59 lap), the origin of the 'Nür' association later worn by the R34.
Rare factory specials sit above the V-Spec: the N1 homologation cars (roughly 87, ABS and creature comforts deleted) and the 1996 LM Limited (86 built, Champion Blue) marking Nissan's Le Mans effort. Rust in rear arches and floors, plus cracked ceramic turbine wheels on hard-run cars, separate honest examples.
