Lexus LFA · 2012

The LFA is Lexus's only supercar — a carbon-fibre-monocoque coupe built around the 1LR-GUE, a 4.8-litre Yamaha-co-developed V10 that spins to a 9,000-rpm redline. Just 500 were built over two years and never replaced, and the engine responds so fast Lexus fitted a digital tachometer because an analog needle couldn't keep up — the hook that makes it a blue-chip halo car.

The one to have: Base LFA · low miles · strong color · dealer/TMG service chain
