The ST205 is the final and most focused Celica GT-Four: a turbocharged 2.0-litre 3S-GTE and full-time four-wheel drive built to homologate Toyota's ST205 World Rally Car, carrying Carlos Sainz to the marque's mid-1990s WRC campaigns. The WRC Edition homologation cars add functional aero and cooling that ordinary GT-Fours lack, and clean unmodified survivors are increasingly scarce as the model is discovered.
The one to have: A genuine WRC Edition ST205 (the ~2,500-car homologation run) with the correct hood scoop/vents, water-spray and anti-lag provisions, matching-numbers 3S-GTE and unmodified boost. Low-mileage, rust-free, un-thrashed cars in Super White or Renaissance Red lead; most are JDM imports.
Super Strut suspension; WRC Edition adds hood scoop, front vents and anti-lag provisions for homologation

Know the real one
Built to homologate the ST205 World Rally Car: the ~2,500-unit WRC Edition run (roughly 2,100 JDM) carries the functional bonnet scoop, extra front vents, hood water-spray nozzles and provisions the standard GT-Four omits.
WRC pedigree with an asterisk: Toyota Team Europe's ST205 won events with Carlos Sainz and Juha Kankkunen but was excluded from the 1995 WRC for a concealed turbo-restrictor bypass — the scandal is part of the car's lore and doesn't dent the road car's homologation status.
Verify the WRC Edition details and a matching-numbers 3S-GTE; the ST205 GT-Four is unavailable in the US except as a 25-year-rule import, so most examples are JDM cars with Japanese history — check for rust, boost tuning and accident repair.
Distinct from the earlier ST185 GT-Four: the ST205 is the wide-body Super Strut car with the WRC Edition aero; standard non-WRC ST205s exist and are worth less than a documented WRC Edition.
