Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione · 2007–2010
The 8C Competizione is Alfa Romeo's low-volume halo GT — a carbon-fibre-bodied coupe on a Maserati (Coupe/GranTurismo) platform powered by the Ferrari/Maserati-built F136 4.7-litre V8. Just 500 coupes were built (2007–2009), plus 329 Spiders, with Wolfgang Egger's Centro Stile bodywork wrapped over a genuine Ferrari–Maserati engine — the car that marked Alfa Romeo's return to low-volume, high-performance GTs.
The one to have: 2007–2009 8C Competizione coupe: 4.7L V8, carbon-fiber body over steel chassis in Rosso Competizione on factory silver telephone-dial wheels; one of 500 coupes (roughly 90 US-market cars), sub-6,000-mile example.
